today's globe and mail WEB POLL results show more canadians are 'left' than 'centre' and more 'centre left' than 'centre right'.

I'd say I'm "left" or "far left" ... but heck, this poll was done by the Globe & Mail! If it were conducted by the National Post there'd be different results n'est pas?
